Great Start CONNECT
Great Start Connect helps link parents and those caring for young children with the resources, supports and services needed to give Michigan children a Great Start.
Great Start CONNECT includes a new online statewide database of licensed, registered child care and early education programs in Michigan. Includes listings of free preschools available in the community including Head Start and Great Start Readiness Programs (GSRP).
Families can access this database 24 hours a day, seven days a week to quickly and conveniently search for and contact child care providers who match their needs.

Comprehensive developmental preschool program for children ages 3-5. Program offers full day and half day options.

Choosing Child Care & Child Care Referrals
The Ingham County Office for Young Children (OYC) is now officially a partner of the Great Start Child Care Central Regional Resource Center. The Central RRC covers 10 counties: Clare, Clinton, Eaton, Gladwin, Gratiot, Ingham, Ionia, Isabella, Midland and Shiawassee.
Families can search for registered and licensed child care providers and other early childhood resources using the NEW online statewide database, Great Start Connect.

Lansing School District
The Lansing School District offers several kindergarten readiness free preschool programs, including both full-day and half-day Great Start Readiness Programs (GSRP), Chinese Immersion Program, and Monterssori Program. To enroll call (517)755-3390.
Eligibility: Must be 4 years old before December 1 (but not yet 5 years old), Lansing School District resident and meet eligibility criteria.

Child Care Aware© is a hub of information for parents and child care providers. A program of the National Association of Child Care Resource & Referral Agencies (NACCRRA), Child Care Aware helps families learn more about the elements of high-quality child care and how to locate programs in their communities. Child Care Aware also provides child care providers with access to resources for their child care programs. The toll-free hotline is staffed by Child Care Consumer Education Specialists who offer both parents and providers information about child care, and referrals to local Child Care Resource and Referral agencies where they can receive individualized assistance.
